365 Hours as a Gardener at Worli Walkers Association Garden
This internship was hard. It expected early morning reporting and hard labor which I did not enjoy that very much.
I was taught how to plant saplings. The tough part of uprooting, replanting and changing location of a growing plant was not taught.
My sole responsibility was watering the garden.
365 hours at National Association for the Blind
I worked in NAB, cassettes department, Worli during my final year school year's. My job was to pick audio cassettes from pre assigned storage bins and deliver to the requester. In '99 there was a minimal access of computer and all records were maintained using cards.
If an audio was collected from a particular storage location when returned it had to go back to that storage location. No concept of dynamic storage locations how data storage looks like today.
This was my first experience of what data storage delivery looked like. I spent 365 hours over a year doing this internship. It was a 7 minute cycle ride to the location from our apartment.
It was a fun responsibility as the halls were centrally air conditioned as cassettes had to
kept at optimal temperatures.
Across the storage hall was a recording studio where new cassettes were recorded for distribution
